Beverly Hospital Lahey relocated its outpatient neurology services to an adjacent medical office building on campus. Working within established brand standards, E4H collaborated with the practice clinicians to design a medical suite that fits their needs.
The neurology suite is divided into two separate spaces, with administrative space and clinical space separated by an internal corridor. With one window wall for the entire suite, the design maximizes natural light for as many people as possible. MD stations along the window line and overlooking the brick patio give staff access to natural light.
The exam rooms are situated internally giving designers an opportunity to create a nice focal point upon entering the room. Full-height wall graphics featuring images of nature enliven each exam room. Three private vitals rooms with clerestory windows are located immediately off the main lobby, improving patient throughput and staff efficiency.
Some site work was done to upgrade accessibility including a renovated parking lot, sidewalks, entrance, and signage. The brick patio was re-laid and updated as a staff respite space.
