Ambulatory Care

This project renovated an oval-shaped, storefront MOB to merge multiple primary care practices into a single, integrated clinical environment. The floor plan takes full advantage of the building’s unique form, adapting exam room layouts around numerous structural columns and creating two near-identical wings that branch from a centralized waiting and reception area.

The north side of the clinic houses staff offices and lounge spaces, while the patterned flooring helps distinguish key charting zones. This clinic also became the first in the VHC Health system of include a staff toilet room with a show, an amenity supporting comfort and flexibility for long-shift personnel. E4H worked with VCH to revise building standards, streamlining flooring and wall finish options to reduce long-term maintenance costs.

The renovation not only expands physician capacity by relocating existing providers from undersized spaces on the floor below, but also positions VHC to better manage growing patient demand through a more cohesive and scalable care model.
