Shively Track & Field Renovation

A comprehensive renovation of the Shively Track and Field Complex increased seating capacity and added state-of-the-art amenities for athletes, spectators and the press. Athletes enjoy an expanded shotput practice area, improved discus and hammer throw facilities, and new facilities for pole vault and long jump. A warm-up track area was added to the complex, and a new operations building centralized timing and lighting controls. The result is a complex that has given the University of Kentucky a competitive edge in NCAA sports and made it a treasured location for state and sectional tournaments.
