Weatherford College Student Union

The new Student Union at Weatherford College is designed to serve as the heart of campus life, creating a destination for students to gather and feel at home. The five-level facility supports a growing student body by bringing programs together that were previously spread across three aging buildings into one connected hub, creating a seamless onboarding experience for new students.

With mostly commuter students on campus, the Student Union has amenities that answer the college’s vision for a stronger sense of culture and community on campus, including lounges, esports gaming spaces, an outdoor dining terrace, golf simulator, and new cafeteria that encourage students to remain on campus and engage with one another. On the fifth floor, the boardroom opens to a 500-seat banquet hall, expanding the building’s impact beyond students and staff and creating one of the largest gathering spaces in the community.

The project emerged from a broader campus master planning effort focused on creating campus connections and meaningful green spaces. The building introduces an elevated environment to campus that reflects the professional settings students may one day enter. The result is a new campus centerpiece that embodies Weatherford College’s ambition and growth, demonstrating a strong partnership with the surrounding community.
