Celebrating the Groundbreaking for a New Hospice Care & Community Center in Cleveland

Healthcare

E4H, the largest architecture and interior design firm solely dedicated to healthcare and health + science technology, is proud to share in the groundbreaking for the Hospice of the Western Reserve’s new state-of-the-art Hospice Care & Community Center in Northern Ohio. As part of Hospice of the Western Reserve’s Quality of Life capital campaign, the new center will replace the current Hospice House, which has served Northern Ohio for nearly three decades.

Located on Lakeshore Boulevard and offering a lakefront setting in Cleveland’s North Collinwood neighborhood, the project enhances Hospice of the Western Reserve’s ability to provide critical services, create more efficient care environments, and support the evolving healthcare needs for Northern Ohio.

The new center will feature 32 private patient rooms with serene views of Lake Erie, enhanced family spaces, and innovative technology tailored to the complexities of end-of-life care. In addition, the facility will include a Community Center dedicated to bereavement support and activities for patients and their families, creating a space for healing and connection.

By partnering with Hospice of the Western Reserve, E4H is continuing its commitment to creating healthcare spaces that emphasize both function and dignity. Our work on this project follows our legacy of designing environments that support holistic, patient-centered care.

With over tens of millions raised to date, Hospice of the Western Reserve is well on its way to realizing its goal of improving end-of-life care for residents across Northern Ohio. The new facility, anticipated to open in 2026, is designed to not only support patients and their families during critical moments but also ensure that future generations will benefit from compassionate hospice care.
