After 5 years, the six-phase redesign of the Mount Sinai Hospital Saul Family Emergency Department is fully complete. MOREgroup’s healthcare practice helped expand clinical space by 10,000 square feet, adding a dedicated adult critical care unit, and introduces a combined triage area to speed up patient intake and treatment.
The renovations also enhance privacy, improve workflows, and increase capacity to serve more than 100,000 patients who rely on the ED each year. Earlier phases also delivered a new Mount Sinai Children’s Emergency Department, which is now nearly doubled in size and includes specialized features such as a calming low-stimulation room for patients with sensory needs.
With these upgrades, Mount Sinai now offers one of the most advanced emergency care environments in New York City, designed to save lives and improve patient experience for adults and children alike.
