This new facility offers a welcoming environment, an innovative space for learning, and a tribute to the district’s agrarian history.

The school is arranged in neighborhood pods with each pod featuring a multi-purpose commons that serves as a dining and activity space. The pods have access to the library and maker space. The area is designed to enrich the learning experience and offers flexibility for educators and students. The center of the building features an enclosed courtyard that offers interactive features and outdoor learning platforms.

Lowered window sills are located in classrooms, corridors, and the library. These windows overlook the courtyard and provide additional space for students to sit and gather. The agrarian history of the town is brought in through the structure, scale, and materiality of the design. Metal panels, limestone, and wood borrow character from the community aesthetic and the nearby grain silos in Old Town Prosper. Each pod also features a thematic design that pays tribute to Texas’ natural regions (Pineywoods, Hill Country, Gulf Coast, Big Bend, South Texas Plains, and Panhandle Plains).
