DFCI Linear Accelerator Vault 1

Looking to modernize an existing radiation therapy room, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute partnered with E4H to integrate an advanced LINAC system with the ability to treat more complex cancers. Midway through construction, clinicians identified a need to incorporate Brainlab digital technology into the project. E4H collaborated with engineers, vendors, contractors, and clinical stakeholders to seamlessly integrate the system into the original design while maintaining the project schedule and avoiding any delay to the start of patient treatments

The renovation also enhanced the patient experience through updated finishes, lighting, millwork, and calming biophilic elements. Star-patterned ceiling tiles, nature-inspired wall graphics, illuminated entry panels, and patterned flooring offer positive visual distractions to help reduce anxiety and stress and create a calmer treatment environment.
