The construction of the state-of-the-art Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts was made possible due to significant savings in the construction of Mansfield Lake Ridge High School and other bond projects. The Center is an impressive multi-purpose venue that serves students, staff and the community at large. The fine arts portion of the building is a versatile auditorium with flexible seating arrangements that accommodate a range of performances and gatherings. Other unique and innovative features include an 80-foot open stage design with a retractable proscenium curtain, a digital sound enhancement system that can replicate a variety of chamber hall acoustics and lecture halls that cascade directly onto the stage and can easily be “subtracted” from the main hall using 50-foot-high moveable acoustic wall panels. The high-tech professional development center houses a 500-seat multi-use space that is sub-dividable into six smaller meeting rooms with moveable partition walls.
