The renovation of Norwalk High School’s athletic facilities by Norwalk-La Mirada USD has brought lasting benefits to both the campus and the surrounding community. In the past, deteriorating track and field conditions forced the relocation of varsity home games and restricted evening practices due to inadequate lighting. With the successful passage of Measure G, the district moved forward with a wide-ranging overhaul that delivered modern synthetic turf for football, soccer, baseball, and softball, along with new bleachers that can seat up to 5,000 fans.
The upgrades also feature a newly constructed nine-lane track with enhanced lighting to support nighttime events, as well as a fully equipped support building with restrooms, team rooms, concessions, and storage. These changes not only allow for on-campus varsity games and expanded practice time but have also transformed the site into a vibrant community gathering place. The renewed facility is now a source of pride and connection—bringing students, families, and neighbors together while reinforcing a strong sense of school spirit.
