Virginia Hospital Center Patient Units

The 17,300 SF state-of-the-art, 21-bed patient unit is 60% larger than their other units, with patient rooms over 30% larger in size than their standard rooms. The floor plan for the new unit includes high-visibility nurses’ stations, along with private patient and family consultation rooms, and a new lobby. The unit’s ventilation system was modified in response to COVID to allow for remote conversion from positive to negative pressure, providing an extra layer of protection for patients and staff.
