The expansion and new construction of Righetti High School catered to the specific needs of different academic subjects, offering flexibility for career pathway programs, and providing outdoor gathering spaces, ensuring that students will have improved opportunities to learn, interact, and thrive. The new classroom building boasts a total of 38 classrooms designed to cater to various academic needs; 29 classrooms are designated for general purpose academic uses, featuring purpose-built spaces that facilitate focused learning and engagement. Additionally, four classrooms specifically tailored to the school’s career pathway educational program were developed. These Pathway Flex Rooms are designed with versatility in mind, allowing for a wide range of future uses. Among these, the “Digital Art Room” stands out, customized to provide an optimal environment for digital arts and photography design classes, fostering creativity and technical proficiency among students. Moreover, the incorporation of five Assessment Flex Rooms further enhances the students’ learning experience. These rooms are strategically positioned with collapsible center walls, affording the flexibility to create larger spaces when needed.

The intentional placement of a portion of the building at a 60-degree angle creates a defined path of travel leading to the new practice gymnasium and sports complex below. This enhances circulation along the campus’ North/South axis and, most notably, creates a large plaza. This outdoor space provides opportunities for activities, fostering a sense of community and encouraging social learning experiences.
