Riverhead Multi-Specialty Practice Outpatient Clinic

E4H provided architectural and engineering services for a new, multi-specialty outpatient clinic at NYU Langone Health’s Winthrop Riverhead location. The space is 13,500 SF on the ground floor of a single-story existing building. The Multi-Specialty program will be non-Article 28. The Program includes two Endoscopy procedure rooms, four Recovery bays, 20 exam rooms, two procedure spaces, and an X-ray.

E4H gathered the functional program information from each physician practice and brought them all together into one shared outpatient facility. Schematic test fits were developed to provide the best patient flow between the multi-specialty practices from check-in to check-out. Standardization of exam room layouts between the varying practice groups was critical for future flexibility between the physician practices.

A challenge E4H experienced was the lack of existing building construction documents available for reference. E4H surveyed the existing building for each trade to document and reconfirm all existing conditions.
