Sheila C. Liles Early Learning Academy

This new early childhood center for 350 students features an interactive learning environment that draws inspiration from a museum experience. Each neighborhood pod features a different theme with corresponding classrooms that support learning, engagement, and hands-on instruction. The pods also offer space for dining, storage, and outdoor access. Themes for the pods include Investigation, Exploration, Interaction, and Navigation with experiences that range from modern-day careers such as a “pet hospital” to ocean environments, time travel, and imaginative play.

The outdoor courtyard is master planned to include a future activity center for physical education. The front of the building also features a parent / multi-purpose training room with two teacher workspaces on either side, creating a collaborative work environment for professional development.
