Dedicated to fallen Sparks firefighter and paramedic Mike Foster, Fire Station No. 6 is a lasting investment in public safety and community resilience. The City of Sparks initiated planning in 2018 to address increasing emergency service demands in the growing northern portion of the city. The project represents the first new fire station constructed by Sparks in nearly 20 years and supports equitable response times as population and development continue to expand.
The station serves north Sparks and provides alternative aid to Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, strengthening regional emergency response. Supporting modern fire service operations and a larger on-site crew, the station accommodates up to nine firefighters, houses both a fire engine and an ambulance, and includes three apparatus bays, integrated dispatch capabilities, and lodging and support spaces.
MOREgroup’s civic team provided professional services for schematic design through construction administration, refining an initial City-provided concept to align with operational needs and long-term growth.
