This high school sits on a 68-acre site as part of a master plan for the district’s educational complex that includes a junior high school, elementary school, and agricultural science barn.

Strategically situated on the property’s southern half, the building’s classical style pediments convey the district’s strong sense of tradition, timeless quality while establishing a strong, unifying street presence. In tandem with building out this project, the district requested Huckabee to establish an Architectural Design Guideline that would ground future projects in classical architecture and provide a unified framework as the district continues to grow.

The north and south facades are similarly adorned with smaller pediments, defining entrances to Athletic Program, and Performing Fine Arts Program, respectively. A network of pathways, sidewalks and plaza areas provide ease of access for pedestrian circulation throughout the campus. They link various outdoor athletic venues with their supporting amenities and provide a safe and direct access to the high school building from various areas on site. It was of paramount importance that Athletic Program’s pediment entrance is clearly visible to immediate community and visiting guests. As such, majority of practice fields are intentionally placed alongside Cypress Heights Drive, and all competition fields with bleacher seating are inbound.

Transportation access and ease of vehicular movement on site was of grave concern; layouts of parking lots and traffic flow needed to be deliberate and controlled to ensure student safety.
