Highlands Ranch Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) expands outpatient access in Southwest Denver by introducing services that were previously unavailable to the area.
Located adjacent to the local hospital, the facility shifts lower-acuity procedures out of the hospital setting, freeing operating rooms for more complex cases while bringing convenient, community-based options closer to patients.
The facility supports a wide range of specialties, including orthopedics, GI endoscopy, pain management, robotics, and women’s health. 5 ORs and 5 GI suites anchor the clinical program. 42 patient bays support pre- and post-op care, and allow staff to manage patient flow efficiently across multiple service lines.
Planning focused on patient choice and operational clarity. Waiting areas include integrated work surfaces, giving patients and families flexibility for work during longer stays. Pre-op and PACU spaces prioritize access to daylight and nearby mountain views through coordinated exterior glazing.
Interior finishes are warm and the biophilic palette is inspired by the surrounding Denver landscape with neutral tones, wood accents, and restrained flooring material patterns creating a timeless environment that supports patient comfort and staff well-being.
