Physicians Group Pediatric Clinic

This project for the University of Virginia Physicians Group included renovating an existing shell space along with the infill of an existing courtyard to increase the square footage to 9,000 SF. This allowed for the 18 exam rooms, a larger waiting area, staff offices and support areas. The exam rooms flow around a large central nurse station with support areas.

The colorful and playful finishes engage the young patients. A winding floor pattern and oversized room numbers allow the patients to interact while moving through the space. Patient privacy was also a focus with sound deadening material throughout and separate check-in and check-out areas.
