As MOREgroup’s Sr. Executive Director of Healthcare, Dan builds our nationwide healthcare strategy on efficient, collaboration-forward design values that are infused with a passion for strengthening communities. By listening to clients, understanding their challenges, and fostering teams to deliver the innovative solutions they need, he often finds they can do more with less—a conviction rooted in over 30 years of design, planning, and master planning successes across 16 million square feet of healthcare environments. He believes in creating a continuum of care that promotes health instead of reacting to sickness, one that’s integrated with the daily lives and local communities of patients.
Dan leads by aligning people with their passions. Whatever those on his team are driven to do—be it design, business development, architecture, or project management—he makes sure they have the right tools and abundant opportunities. In his experience, great work always follows. A strong believer in mentorship, he strives to create an environment where everyone feels empowered to make thoughtful decisions while iterating on cutting-edge innovations.
Having witnessed how healthcare facilities touch all aspects of life—from birth, through all stages of development, and on to death—Dan finds a deep sense of purpose in designing spaces that help patients and families feel grounded in high stakes moments. He is a board-certified healthcare architect, serves on ACHA committees, and stays engaged with the academic healthcare design community at his alma mater Texas A&M. Outside of architecture, Dan travels, shoots photography, and volunteers at his church, where in the past he’s been heavily involved in mission work and teaching Sunday school.
