Cancer Center Koch Endoscopy Unit

The MSKCC David H. Koch Cancer Center offers patients a comprehensive continuum of outpatient and inpatient services from diagnosis through treatment and long-term care. E4H deisgned the new Ambulatory Surgery Suite which supplements the existing Interventional Radiology Suite in support pf MSKCC’s increasing demand for outpatient surgical and gastro-intestinal procedures.

The new three-OR surgical suite shares patient intake and family waiting functions with the existing IR suite on an adjacent floor. The new suite highlights an enhanced patient experience with private prep and recovery positions offering patients privacy and outstanding views of the NYC skyline. Patient lifts are installed in each patient position as well as within the ORs supporting MSKCC’s commitment to staff and patient safety. Additionally, the staff lounge was expanded to support this new program, providing hospitality-like amenities.
