Inova Heart and Lung Transplant Clinic

Located within the Inova Center for Personalized Health campus, the Heart & Lung Transplant Clinic transformed existing space into a dedicated outpatient environment for pre- and post-transplant patients. The clinic provides a comfortable experience for their immunocompromised patient population, and supports Inova’s leading transplant services and programs.

E4H balanced clinical staff and patient requirements with Inova’s elevated design standards, incorporating waiting room oxygen connections, stress testing and pulmonary function testing rooms, and 32 exam rooms to create a calming, welcoming setting.

Comfort and recovery were prioritized through wood-accented finishes, clear wayfinding elements, and natural light. Daylighting strategies extend sunlight throughout the clinic, including a corridor that supports the six-minute walk test, creating a positive interior experience for all.
