In the heart of Cooper University Hospital’s bustling medical campus is a quiet sanctuary dedicated to healing beyond the physical: the Margaret L. Isaacs Chapel.

The chapel was relocated to the Roberts Pavilion Lobby, enhancing accessibility for patients, families, and staff while supporting the expansion of essential hospital services. The thoughtfully reconfigured area will also accommodate new Pathology Physician Offices and additional facilities for the Residency Program.

Designed with natural materials and warm finishes, the non-denominational chapel creates a calming atmosphere that fosters peace and introspection. The space is enriched by historic stained-glass windows and preserved architectural elements that honor Cooper University Hospital’s legacy and the enduring role of spiritual care in healing. Named in memory of Margaret L. Isaacs, the chapel stands as a commemorative tribute to the compassion and resilience of the human spirit.

More than just a physical space, the Margaret L. Isaacs Chapel represents Cooper University Hospital’s dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care. It stands as a powerful reminder that healing encompasses the mind, body, and spirit—and that in times of uncertainty, a quiet moment of peace can be profoundly powerful.
