Murray State Comprehensive Athletics Plan

RossTarrant Architects, in association with HNTB Architecture, was commissioned to assess Murray State University’s existing athletics facilities & establish an improvement plan for this crucial University department. The comprehensive facilities assessment included an evaluation of all assets, systems & general conditions. The study also identified the University’s & Athletics Department’s goals, established through programming discussions with representatives from every athletics program, academic tutoring staff, strength & conditioning staff, training/sports medicine staff, as well as athletics department leadership. Marketing, communications & development were also central to the planning effort. With facilities needs clearly identified, the study provided recommendations for the ideal sequencing of upgrades. Opinions of cost for various options are also included. Finally, schematic graphics illustrating future goals are included to support the vision for the future & enhance current & future fundraising efforts.
