Middle School

This new middle school merges the district’s fine arts academy and athletic facility into a single, future-ready campus that serves 1,200 students. The building rethinks how academic and extracurricular programs are organized across the site, delivering a space that meets the district’s specific circulation preferences and elevates its rapid growth.
The academic wings are arranged around a secure interior courtyard, with two-story classrooms, flex labs, and small group spaces that open directly to the outdoors. Each floor includes teacher planning rooms to support collaboration and preparation for instruction. A second secure courtyard bridges the HUB and dining areas, allowing for outdoor instruction and extended dining space within a covered, turfed environment designed for year-round use.
At the center of the school is the HUB, an open, multi-use collaboration space featuring flexible seating, learning stairs with writeable surfaces, and connected flex rooms overlooking both courtyards.
The fine arts wing includes dedicated spaces for band, choir, dance, theater, and visual arts, with thoughtful attention to daylight and display. Athletics are anchored by two gyms—one for competition, one for practice—that double as a storm shelter for 2,400 people, along with a weight room and track-equipped practice field.
