Malcolm O’Neal is MOREgroup’s Chief Human Resources Officer, focused on strengthening organizational capability so great people can do great work for clients and the communities they serve. He believes the most meaningful measure of leadership is whether someone leaves work better than they arrived, and that when people grow and develop, performance and impact naturally follow.
With more than 30 years of experience, including four CHRO roles in high-growth industrial and professional services organizations, Malcolm views HR as a driver of outcomes rather than programs. His work centers on building clarity, trust, and momentum across the firm, creating the conditions for leaders and teams to deliver results with speed, quality, and purpose.
Trained early in his career as a chemical process engineer, Malcolm brings a catalyst’s mindset to people strategy—reducing friction, aligning leadership, and strengthening talent systems so the organization can perform at its best. An active member of the Houston HR Leadership Network (HRLN), Malcolm finds balance outside of work as an avid jogger, a proud girl-dad and husband, and a longtime gardener in his local community garden, where investing early, tending consistently, and sharing the harvest reflect exactly how he approaches leadership.
