Our Furniture Planning team works to illustrate how furniture can be used as a tool for learning, how it can create a culture, and how it can support your brand.

Finding the Tools to Foster Connection and Growth
Furniture planning integrates furniture, architecture, educational delivery, culture, and brand. Huckabee employs a holistic approach to the process, believing the right furniture allows all users to be more successful and more engaged within a space and with each other.
When designed correctly, the use of furniture contributes to the development of campus culture. Huckabee guides our clients through this process to ensure the realization of their vision and help set up their investment for success.

Creating a Playful and Inspiring Design for Furniture
Godley ISD’s Pleasant View Elementary School is a 110,000 sf, two-story facility, designed with seven academic houses that foster growth and community. At its center is the vibrant Center for Learning and Innovation (CL&I), paired with a dining area that creates a welcoming, park-like atmosphere. The furniture in this project encourages playfulness and fuels flexibility for each space from the ground up.
A key focus of the project was the library, positioned as the heart of the school. This flexible and engaging space is designed to captivate visitors upon entry and serve as a focal point for collaboration and creativity. The furniture plays a critical role in bringing this vision to life, with pieces tailored to support the needs of every grade level.

Using Furniture to Blend Tradition and Innovation
Walnut Grove High School’s furniture played a central role in achieving the school’s vision of blending tradition with 21st-century learning. The library serves as a standout example, with highly flexible furniture that enhances its collegiate aesthetic. These pieces, seamlessly integrated into the floorplan, can be quickly rearranged to adapt to different uses, making the space both impactful and practical.
Beyond the library, furniture decisions were instrumental in shaping collaborative spaces throughout the campus. Thoughtfully designed lounge areas with comfortable seating were added to the floorplan to invite students to connect and work together outside traditional classrooms.

Eclectic and Functional Furniture Solutions for Community-Forward CTE
The facility features local eateries and retail spaces staffed and run by students, technology-rich CTE classrooms, and full-scale event spaces, each requiring thoughtful, flexible solutions. The furniture choices were critical to creating adaptable spaces that meet a variety of educational and functional needs.
Flexibility and cost-effectiveness were priorities for the project. The furniture is designed to move easily between spaces, and because it’s color-coded by floor, it’s also easy to return to its proper place, allowing seamless reconfiguration. Solutions tailored for specialized classrooms, such as those for eSports, floral design, and fashion design, enhance functionality.

Furniture Designed for Connection
The renovation of the 135,000 sf Fort Worth ISD Central Administration building focused on creating practical spaces tailored to the district’s needs. The Furniture Planning team’s solutions balance comfort and functionality, supporting a seamless shift in working culture from private offices to a more open, collaborative environment.
Partnership was key throughout the project, with furniture design integrated from the beginning to support the goal of creating an adaptable space.
